My orchestral piece ICARUS' LAST TEMPTATION has reached Finalist position in the International Songwriting Competition 2009 in category Instrumental. The track was chosen out of 15.000 entries, sent in from all over the world. Winners are to be announced in April 2010.

On November 12, I received the Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award in category Special Achievement: Music in Film. The red carpet event was held at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood.

Other Hollywood F.A.M.E Award recipients this year included RON NEVISON (producer for Led Zeppellin, The Who, Heart, Chicago etc), JACK DOUGLAS (producer for John Lennon, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper etc) and GREG LADANYI (producer for Don Henley, Foreigner, Toto, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac etc.)

Music placement in new MTV show

TEASING THE FIRE was placed in the new MTV show "Styl'D" (premiered on November 1) and aired three times in two epidsodes during November. Song and Film mediated the deal.

Sonicbids chose my instrumental track ICARUS' LAST TEMPTATION to, along with 11 other artists, be featured on an exclusive compilation CD for the 10th Annual Game Developers Conference in Austin, Texas in September 2009. The event uattracts about 18.000 professionals and organizations such as Sony Computer Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Disney Interactive, Microsoft, Radical/Activision and Ubisoft were present.

Since May 2009, I am a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists.

SCL is an organization for professional film, TV and video game composers and lyricists. It assumes a central role in helping composers and lyricists achieve their full career potential. Named as "the Screen Composers Association", it was formed in 1945 with legendary icons as Max Steiner, Bernard Herrmann, Erich Wolfgang Korngold among others. Today you will find some of this year's Academy Awards Nominees among the members – such as Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman and Alexandre Desplat.

RUNAWAY SUCCESS was selected by the American film director Steve Miner to be included in the film comedy "Private Valentine - Blonde and Dangerous", starring Jessica Simpson and Steve Guttenberg. The movie has premiered both in theaters and on DVD in USA, Europe as well as in other parts of the world. Song and Film mediatied the deal.
