During the last two years, I have had a handful of song placements in Film and TV - in an American feature film, in MTV and in other major American TV networks. I have won the Billboard World Song Contest twice, had winners in the International Songwriting Contest and Song of the Year. I have also received nominations and various awards from other sectors of the the American music industry (see Awards). In November 2009, I received the Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award for Special Achievement: Music in Film.
My musical adventures began in the early 70's along the path of classical piano and guitar. As this was while the first "classic rock" wave was sweeping by, the guitar soon became my favorite choice. Before I knew it, I was slinging guitar solos in a rockin' combo. I played loads of gigs, grew a solid musical backbone and had a whole lotta fun meanwhile. In the mid-80's, I studied Art and Design and landed as Graphic Designer. After some years in the profession, I established and ran my own design business for many years. While running a full time operation, I continued to cultivate my musical interests and made sure I could take time off now and then to play with bands or sneak into a studio session.
Some few years ago I decided to bring back a larger portion of music into my life again. I downscaled my design agenda, got together with other songwriters to co-write and began to compose on a regular basis. Today, things have fallen into a steady roll in the name of music again. As I'm glancing towards the film music sector, I'm refining my toolbox - studying film music, taking orchestration classes and diving deeper into the art of writing for Film, TV and other new media. My objective is to walk away with the big composing gig for the grand movie.
